We are a group of girls writing plays with strong female characters. Every time I see a movie, if there are no independent girls in it, I feel disgusted and outraged. It makes me feel like girls aren’t important. You KNOW that the person who made the movie must think girls are helpless!
I worry that this makes some little girls think they have to look like delicate, sparkly princesses. That they can’t save themselves. That they’re not as good as a man or a boy. It’s time to drop those ideas and let girl power shine through.
